Polyurethane foam system

EXTERNAL THERMAL INSULATION

Polyurethane is a material that we encounter everywhere in our daily lives; it is a particularly useful material and is the result of the chemical reaction between isocyanate and polyol. Especially in the construction sector, where thermal insulation and sound insulation are required, polyurethane foam is the ideal material and can deliver excellent results with very high performance. It has no joints, thereby eliminating thermal bridges and significantly reducing the cooling and heating costs of buildings. It has the lowest thermal conductivity coefficient of all other insulation materials.

1. Preparation of the surface to the required degree (cleaning, washing, local repairs, removal of loose parts, etc.).
2. Preparation of the materials by preheating and mixing according to the supplier's technical datasheets.
3. The spraying process of the foam begins, during which continuous monitoring of the necessary parameters (temperature, pressure, material flow, etc.) is conducted to ensure proper application. It is important to note that the foam does not require a primer beforehand, as it, like all polyurethanes, has a very strong adhesion capability.
4. Once the application is complete, a quality check is conducted using specialized equipment to identify any imperfections or problematic areas, and these are repaired.
5. If the material we applied requires a final protective layer for this specific application, an appropriate material is applied.

Advantages of polyurethane foam:

The greatest advantages of using polyurethane foam are the speed of application, as most materials cure to 80% within 20-30 seconds and can withstand traffic and rain after just a few minutes (15-30). It reacts, applies, and cures faster than any other technology, resulting in very rapid project completion (for example, thermal insulation of 400m² can be completed in one day).

It is applied in 2-3 layers to the required thickness and forms a seamless surface without joints and seams, which are the main points of failure in conventional materials.

It can be applied to any surface regardless of shape or difficulty of access, including protrusions or cavities.

When combined with hot spray-applied polyurea, it can quickly provide a top-tier thermal and waterproofing system, and it also has soundproofing properties.

After the application of polyurethane foam, polyurea can be applied.
